Viber Chat with Viber Bots
Buzzeasy seamlessly integrates with the Viber platform using Viber Bots, enabling users to provide a comprehensive Viber experience. This integration leverages Buzzeasy's advanced digital functionalities, including Workflow and built-in bots for menu selection, data collection, and more.
Setting Up a Viber Bot
To set up a Viber Bot, you need a valid phone number for registration on Viber's partner portal. Visit Viber's partner portal, enter your country and phone number, and follow the instructions provided.
To create your Bot account on Viber's Partner Portal, do the following:
- Click 'Create Bot account' on the left side of the screen.
- Choose an avatar for your account.
- Fill in your account details as desired. These details will be visible to your Viber users.
- Agree to Viber's policies and terms of service, then click 'Create'.
- Note down the Access token for use in Buzzeasy channel setup.
Creating a Viber Channel in Buzzeasy
Before creating a Viber channel in Buzzeasy, ensure your Viber bot is ready and you have the access token. Sign in at partners.viber.com to view your bots and access tokens. Then, proceed as follows:
- In the Buzzeasy Portal, under the Chat section, select 'Viber'.
- Click 'Create'.
- Paste the previously copied access token into the 'APP Key' field.
- Enter an 'Agent avatar URL'. This avatar will represent the Buzzeasy agent in Viber chats. Use a hosted image or a service like imgur.com for the URL.
- Enter a 'Bot avatar URL' for when customers interact with system messages and bots from Buzzeasy.
- Set the 'Default Bot name' to customize the bot's display name during customer interactions.
- Set your Viber suggested buttons background color and text color. This will modify the look of suggested replies when shown on the Viber mobile application.
Note
Ensure you use direct image URLs that typically end with the image file extension.
- After setting up the avatars, click 'Next'.
- Name your channel and select a Workflow.
- Set your timezone, business hours, holidays, exceptions and categorization rule.
- Add your completion codes and click 'Create'.
- Your channel is now ready! Test it by messaging your Viber bot. Once satisfied, publish it for your customers to use.
Limitations
Note that Android Keyboard stickers and typing indicators are not currently supported in this integration.
